Shire Successful in Community Water Grants Program
Community Water Grant to Put Shade Over Mt Marshall Swimming Pool
The Shire of Mt Marshall has been successful in receiving $19,656.00 through the Community Water Grants Funding Program to erect shade over the shallow end of the Mt Marshall Swimming Pool.
The shade will save an estimated 300,000 litres of water from evaporation each pool season. The Shire of Mt Marshall recognised the importance of water and its availability in the Shire therefore accessing the funding to be able to reduce water loss at the swimming pool.
The shade structure will cover the first 12 metres of the pool from the shallow end. The structure will be erected over the off season ready for the 2008/2009 summer.
